Made it so only basic members have the right to vote. These are members trust level 1 or higher.
The forum grants trust levels automatically based on forum activity. You start out at 0 unless invited by an existing member, in which case you start at 1. It's pretty easy to get to 1, you just need to spend a minimum amount of time reading a certain number of posts and topics.
I figured brand-new members should probably not have the right to affect votes. If we want we can even restrict this to T2, but no one's at T2 yet so we might want to wait on that.
We can also change the titles if we want. By default the forum gives these names for the different trust levels:
- 1 (Basic)
- 2 (Member)
- 3 (Regular)
- 4 (Leader) i.e. a forum admin, can only be granted manually
T3 is a neat one, it's the only one that requires you to actually maintain your level of activity (the others are granted permanently, but T3 is based on the last 100 days and you can lose it after 2 weeks if you go below the required threshold). It also acts like a minor, automatic moderator. They can do some basic moderation functions to help clean up forum content to help the community self-regulate. Will be interesting to see how these play out in the long term.
